Media reports transgender Minnesota shooter had ‘kill Donald Trump’ on magazine

(MENAFN) The suspect behind Wednesday’s deadly shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis has been identified as Robin Westman, according to law enforcement sources cited by The New York Post. The attack took place during a mass at Annunciation Catholic School, resulting in two fatalities and over a dozen injuries.

Westman, who reportedly transitioned from male to female in 2020, is now being investigated for potential links to a 20-minute video manifesto uploaded to YouTube just hours before the shooting. The video, which has since been removed, displayed pages from a red notebook, gun schematics, and multiple weapons, including a semi-automatic rifle and shotgun.

Visible on several ammunition magazines were disturbing messages such as “for the children,” “kill Donald Trump,” and “Rip & Tear.” Some parts of the manifesto featured Cyrillic letters written in English phonetics. One illustration reportedly showed Westman buying ammunition from a devil-like figure, alongside transgender pride flags.

Social media users, including journalist Jake Jackson, shared saved screenshots and clips from the video. In the footage, the shooter whispers self-destructive thoughts and stabs a notebook in a disturbing display.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed that Westman was not previously on law enforcement’s radar. Investigations are ongoing into the motive and potential ideological elements behind the attack.
