Education Minister Visits Northern Schools, Stresses Early Career Guidance

Amman, Aug 31 (Petra) – Education Minister Azmi Mahafzah on Sunday joined students at Al-Hussein Secondary School for Boys in their morning assembly and flag-raising ceremony, as he began an inspection tour of schools under the Bani Kinana Education Directorate.
The tour included stops at Ibdir Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls, Kufursoum Secondary School for Girls, Kufursoum Basic School for Boys, Ashrafieh Kufursoum Coeducational Basic School, Kufurjaiz Basic School for Boys, and Taqabul Coeducational Basic School.
Mahafzah, accompanied by Ministry Director of Buildings and Projects Issam Abu Ahmdeh, underlined the importance of early awareness among students in choosing academic fields and the ministry's plan to implement inclusive education in schools.
He also reviewed the progress of vocational training under the BTEC program, inspecting workshops, classrooms, labs and playgrounds, and checking on the ministry-provided facilities that support the program's success. The minister listened to observations from administrators, teachers, and students and thanked school staff for their dedication.
Mahafzah urged education directors to increase field visits to schools within their directorates, strengthen educational supervision and provide technical support to teachers and administrators.
The visit is part of a series of field engagements across governorates and districts aimed at assessing the education sector's conditions, identifying needs and addressing challenges facing the learning process.
