France Awards Culture Minister With Order Of Arts And Letters


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) France awarded HE the Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Thani with the Order of Arts and Letters with the rank of Commander, the highest of this prestigious Order.
French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati awarded the medal to HE the Minister of Culture, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen cultural relations between Qatar and France, in addition to his ongoing efforts to support arts and literature and develop the cultural scene in Qatar.
HE Sheikh Abdulrahman has been working to implement a comprehensive cultural strategy to enhance national identity, support artistic creativity, and expand the scope of international cultural co-operation.
The French Order of Arts and Letters was established in 1957 and is awarded to writers, artists, and intellectuals who have enriched the cultural scene with their distinguished contributions. It is a ministerial decoration granted by the French Minister of Culture in recognition of distinguished contributions to the fields of arts and literature. (QNA)
