Pakistan convicts Netanyahu’s statements on Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia
(MENAFN) On Monday, Pakistan convicted Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s “provocative” declaration that Saudi Arabia ought to arrange a Palestinian country.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, held a call to talk to his Saudi peer Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, criticized Netanyahu's " irresponsible and provocative" statements, and confirmed Pakistan’s "unwavering commitment to the Kingdom’s Sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as unflinching support to the Palestinian cause."
The Saudi foreign minister appreciated Dar upon Pakistan's "consistent and time-tested support to the sanctity and inviolability of the Kingdom."
Moreover, both Ministers have reached a joint decision in order to "urgently" assemble an outstanding conference of Organization of Islamic Countries leaders to analyze the progression regarding Gaza.
On Sunday, regarding a particular statement Dar assured Pakistan “firmly believes that the Palestinian people have an inalienable right to establish an independent and sovereign state based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.”
“Any proposal that seeks to displace or relocate the Palestinian people from their ancestral homeland is unacceptable and constitutes a blatant violation of international law, UN resolutions and the principles of justice and fairness,” he explained further more.
Last week, Netanyahu had stated “The Saudis can create a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia; they have a lot of land over there,”
