Kyrgyzstan Keen On Development Of Middle Corridor - Deputy Minister

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 5. Kyrgyzstan is
interested in the development of the Trans-Caspian International
Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor), Deputy Minister of
Transport and Communications Bekzhan Rysmendeyev said at a
high-level event on the launch of the TITR Coordination platform in
Ashgabat, Trend
reports via Kyrgyz Ministry of transport and Communications.
“Kyrgyzstan is interested in the development of the
Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor and supports
initiatives to improve infrastructure and multimodal logistics,”
Rysmendeyev emphasized.
Furthermore, the ministry noted that the Coordination Platform
is a powerful tool for monitoring the progress of project
implementation, facilitating investments, and strengthening
cooperation between stakeholders.
In addition, during his working trip to Turkmenistan, the Deputy
Minister met with the Director General of the Agency of Transport
and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan,
Mammethan Chakiyev, and discussed topical issues of
cooperation.
The parties emphasized the significant increase in cargo
turnover of the two countries and agreed to jointly solve problems
by creating favorable conditions for business representatives.
To note, the Middle Corridor links the container rail freight
networks of China and the European Union countries through Central
Asia, the Caucasus, Türkiye, and Eastern Europe.
Multilateral multimodal transport infrastructure links ferry
terminals on the Caspian and Black Seas with the railway systems of
China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, Ukraine, and
Poland.
