Azerbaijan's East Zangezur To Brighten Thanks To Railroad Gallery

ZANGILAN, Azerbaijan, August 22. The gallery
built on the 75th km of the Horadiz-Agband railroad line is
designed to protect the railroad from rock fragments that may fall
from the mountains, head of the Azerbaijan Railways Press
Secretariat Department Sanuber Nazarova said during the media tour
of the Horadiz-Agband railroad, Trend reports.
She noted that the length of the gallery is 144 meters.
“The dimensions of the constructed gallery also allow
electrification of the railroad line in the future. The gallery is
designed on piles, and its structure is monolithic reinforced
concrete. The mentioned gallery is the first railroad gallery built
during the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” Nazarova
added.
