Occupied Jerusalem, July 27 (Petra) -- Israeli Occupation forces shot and seriously injured a Palestinian Saturday in Al Isawiya neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, and arrest dozens in the West Bank.
Police said in a statement the driver, who is in his thirties, tried to RAM officers, but none of them was injured, and was shot and arrested.
Six Palestinians, including a 12-year-old boy and a woman, 76, were hospitalized after being assaulted and beaten by Israeli forces in Isawiya last night.
An Israeli army raid in Shufat refugee camp north of Jerusalem sparked clashes with local youth, during which soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas, but there were no reports of injuries.
During search-and-arrest raids across the West Bank early today, Israeli forces rounded up 40 Palestinians, including children, ex-prisoners and members of families of activists wanted by the military, many in Nablus and Qalqilya.
That brought to 9,840 the total number of arrests in the West Bank since the war on the Gaza Strip began on October 7, including men taken from their homes or at military checkpoints or those who gave themselves in under pressure, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
