Government Engages Renewable Energy Industry In Policy Discussions

In a significant move to bolster India's renewable energy sector, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Shripad Yesso Naik, convened a meeting with key representatives from renewable industry associations today.

The All-India Solar Industries Association was among the notable participants in the talks.

The discussions centred on the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and additional measures to stimulate domestic manufacturing within the renewable energy sector.

Minister Naik affirmed the government's full support for the industry, underscoring its commitment to expediting India's transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary, MNRE, also attended the meeting, reiterating the Ministry's dedication to fostering growth and innovation in the renewable energy landscape.

This engagement marks a crucial step in strengthening the collaborative efforts between government and industry stakeholders. The move is seen as pivotal in advancing India's aspirations within the global renewable energy market.
