Carlyle Corbyn's Research On Colonies Aims To Expose France's Illegal Actions - BIG Chief

SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, July 22. The aim of the
research "The evolution of French colonialism: a Political and
constitutional study" of Carlyle Corbin (US) Executive Director of
Baku Initiative Group (BIG) Abbas Abbasov said at the group's side
event within the framework of the 2nd Shusha Global media Forum
today, Trend
reports.
He stressed that this study will be presented to the UN and
other international organizations.
The nearly 140-page research provides information on the
colonization of former and current French colonies - Vietnam,
Algeria, New Caledonia, French Polynesia (Mao'hi Nui), Saint
Martin, Saint Barthelemy, Mayotte (considered part of the Union of
Comoros), Reunion, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana, as
well as on France's current colonial policies.
The research, compiled based on international legal documents,
lists the crimes committed by France and those being committed at
present (ethnic cleansing, slave trade, repression, arrests and
killings of the indigenous population, starvation deaths, etc.),
non-compliance with UN resolutions, and widely mentions the
political, military, strategic, and economic interests of France
underlying these heinous acts.
The Second Shusha Global Media Forum is attended by 150 foreign
guests from 49 countries, including news agencies from 34
countries, 12 international organizations and media entities, as
well as 60 heads and representatives of Azerbaijani media.
