Agreement Signed To Implement Royal Initiative For Culinary Arts Training

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, presided over the signing of an agreement to implement the Royal Initiative for the Development of Culinary Arts Specialisation.

The agreement was signed at the Royal Court between the Vocational Training Corporation and the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Labour and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Vocational Training Corporation Nadia Rawabdeh, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Wajih Owais.

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate to train students to improve the quality of educational programmes related to culinary arts in vocational training centres and expand this specialisation in the governorates.

The agreement stipulates that the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, affiliated with the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, will contribute to the development of training programs related to culinary arts, set the necessary specifications for developing culinary arts equipment in vocational training centres, and enhance the efficiency of the centres' trainers in culinary arts.

During the signing ceremony, Issawi said that this Royal Initiative is of great interest to His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince, aligns with the Economic Modernisation Vision plan within the vocational and technical education and training axis, and coincides with the Kingdom's celebrations of the silver jubilee of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne.

Issawi emphasised the importance of the agreement, which will allow the utilisation of the expertise of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts as a specialised and leading educational institution in the field of culinary arts education and training.

Issawi explained that the first phase of the initiative will include the governorates of Irbid, Jerash, Madaba, and Aqaba.

This phase will involve the development of necessary equipment and tools, training programmes, and enhancing the competence of trainers to provide an attractive environment for youth and students and improve the level of education and training offered to them, he added.

Issawi said that the goal is to encourage them to pursue these specialisations that are in demand in the local and international labour markets.
