SOCAR Aims To Acquire Majority Stake In Azer Turk Bank


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to acquire 51 percent of Azer Turk bank OJSC shares, Trend reports via SOCAR.

The issue was discussed on July 16 at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of SOCAR.

According to the information of the state company, during the meeting, chaired by the head of the Supervisory Board, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, presented a presentation regarding plans to purchase 51 percent of shares of Azer Turk Bank and the steps in this direction.

Furthermore, on July 16 at the meeting of the Supervisory Board of SOCAR presented a presentation on the work done in the business segment "Production and Development", the results achieved, and the upcoming tasks in this area.
