(MENAFN- UkrinForm) As part of joint intergovernmental consultations, the governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed a number of agreements, including on the construction of a new cartridge factory in Ukraine and on the manufacture of assault rifles.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal via Telegram , Ukrinform reports.
"The joint consultations of Ukraine and the Czech Republic in Prague ended with the signing of a number of important documents," he informed.
According to the head of the government, in the statement by the two governments, the contours of the strategic alliance of states are outlined, including the coordination of efforts at the international level, the provision of military, financial, and humanitarian aid by the Czech Republic to Ukraine, work on the implementation of the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelensky, increased sanctions pressure on the aggressor and bringing the Russian Federation to responsibility for crimes.

In turn, Ukraine will promote Czech businesses, activate the development of interstate logistics and cooperation with the Czech Republic at the level of cities and communities.
At the same time, the parties signed agreements on the production of weapons: an agreement with the Czech arms producer Sellier&Bellot on the construction of a new cartridge factory in Ukraine and an agreement with Colt CZ Group on the production of assault rifles.
A Ukrainian-Czech agreement on the joint fight against crime and a memorandum on cooperation in the energy sector, including oil transmission through the "Southern Friendship" pipeline, cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy, decentralization of the energy system, and restoration of energy infrastructure, were also signed.
Shmyhal noted that the parties signed a memorandum between the State Space Agency of Ukraine and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic on cooperation in research and use of outer space.

In addition, a memorandum was signed between the State Assets Fund and the Czech specialized agency on the exchange of best practices, including regarding the launch of a register of administrative buildings, as well as a memorandum on cooperation in helthcare, namely on assistance in the construction of rehabilitation centers, rebuilding medical infrastructure, equipping Ukrainian hospitals, attracting Czech specialists for providing prosthetics for the Ukrainian military.
"I am grateful to the Czech government, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and the Czech people for their effective support and solidarity. Our agreements will yield practical results. Ukraine and the Czech Republic will become stronger, and peace and security in Europe will become closer," emphasized the head of the Ukrainian government.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal together with the government team arrived on a working visit to the Czech Republic to hold intergovernmental consultations.
