Enhanced Security Measures In Peshawar For Muharram: CCPO Issues Directives


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) In preparation for Muharram in Peshawar, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan has issued directives to citizens to carry their identity cards at all times.

For security purposes, 14,000 Police officers and officials will be deployed, alongside 13 platoons of the Frontier Constabulary.

Imambargahs and procession routes will be closely monitored from the command and control center, and all construction work on mourning procession routes has been halted. Additionally, Afghan refugees will be prohibited from entering the city during Muharram.

An emergency control room has been established in the CM Secretariat under the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur. This control room will monitor the law and order situation throughout Muharram and maintain close contact with all relevant stakeholders to handle any emergencies.
