Domestic Revenues Rise By JD41.6 Million In First Five Months Of 2024

Amman, July 11 (Petra) - Domestic revenues during the first five months of 2024 reached JD3.879 billion, an increase of JD41.6 million compared to the same period of the previous year, bringing their coverage of current expenditures to 92.3 percent.
Non-tax revenues saw an increase of about JD40.5 million compared to the same period of the previous year.
Public spending for the central government during the first five months of 2024 amounted to about JD4.576 billion, compared to JD4.296 billion during the same period of the previous year.
These developments resulted in the general budget recording a financial deficit, after counting aid, of about JD655.2 million.
