Corbyn wins over previous party in British election

Corbyn secured 24,120 votes, surpassing his Labour rival Praful Nargund, who received 16,873 votes. Voter turnout stood at 67.5percent, slightly lower than the 2019 figures, according to The Guardian's report on Friday.
At 75 years old, Corbyn has served as the Member of Parliament for Islington North since 1983.
