Zelensky Shows Return Of Ten Ukrainians Released From Russian Captivity


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President Volodymyr Zelensky has shown the first minutes after ten Ukrainians released from Russian captivity returned home.

He published a respective video on his Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also showed footage of the first meeting of Ukrainian prisoners on the border with Belarus.

"This is the result of the work of the Joint Center for Coordinating the Search for and Release of Prisoners of War, which implemented the decision of the Coordination Headquarters on the treatment of Prisoners of War. The life of every Ukrainian is the highest value. We are working to fulfill the instructions of the President of Ukraine and return every Ukrainian from captivity," the SBU said.

Earlier reports said that Ukraine had returned home ten more Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity, including Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Nariman Dzhelyal, civilians Olena Pekh and Valerii Matiushenko, who were in captivity since 2017-2018, Bohdan Heleta and Ivan Levytskyi, priests of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church who were captured in Berdiansk for resisting the occupiers, as well as five civilians who were captured in Belarus and deprived of their freedom: Mykola Shvets, Nataliia Zakharenko, Pavlo Kupriienko, Liudmyla Honcharenko, and Kateryna Briukhanova.
