Afghan Teenager Sentenced To Four Years In German Court For Terror Plot

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) A court in Germany has sentenced a 15-year-old teenager to four years in prison for plotting a terrorist attack on a Christmas market.

The verdict was issued yesterday, Saturday, June 28, by a state court in Cologne, Germany, where the 15-year-old Afghan youth was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and disturb public peace.

The Cologne State Court found that he had coordinated with a 16-year-old acquaintance from Russia last autumn over a few weeks to attack the Christmas market in Lurkuzen.

Additionally, the Cologne court stated that the 15-year-old youth had admitted to these charges.

Notably, the German court sentenced this 15-year-old boy based on the country's juvenile laws and to maintain privacy behind closed doors.

Meanwhile, the German government recently officially approved a draft of the Ministry of the Interior of this country aimed at expelling dangerous migrants (terrorism supporters). The Minister of the Interior presented the draft on June 26th in the German Cabinet.

According to Deutsche Welle, activities on social networks aimed at glorifying or endorsing terrorism - even in the form of a comment - are considered a crime.
