(MENAFN- Live Mint) In Telangana, people gathered at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad to watch Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer movie. The video shows the masses celebrating its release by singing and dancing.
The film that hit the screens today and cinema enthusiasts expressed their excitement by putting up cut-outs and posters of actor Prabhas.
The price hike in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh failed to deter enthusiasts from turning up in theatres early in the morning. The movie was released in pan-India on June 27 in five languages- Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The Andhra Pradesh government has raised ticket costs for the first fourteen days. Consequently, moviegoers will now pay an additional ₹75 for single-screen viewings and ₹125 for multiplexes.
Following the Telangana government's lead, which previously increased ticket prices for the initial eight days in theatres, the price increased by ₹70 for regular theatres and by ₹100 for multiplexes. The eagerly awaited 'Kalki 2898 AD' debuted with its first show at 5:30 AM, with additional screenings also planned.
