Deadline For Extension Of Visas For Foreigners In Panama

The National Immigration Service reminds foreigners of the deadline to request the extension of temporary residence permits, among others.
The National Immigration Service will keep in force until June 30 of this year the deadline for accepting requests for extensions of Temporary, Provisional or Permanent Residence Permits, as well as the Domestic Workers Visa that expired on March 13, 2020.
According to the entity, the request by foreigners will be without prejudice to the cancellation of the relevant fines according to each case, in compliance with Resolution No. 9049 of March 1, 2024.
The resolution establishes that this measure was chosen because a large number of applications were pending, which could not be presented on the stipulated date, which is why it is necessary to establish a new extension period, so that foreigners in these conditions can carry out their renewal procedures.
