KAFD Announces Assistance For 7 Entrepreneurial Projects

Amman, June 6 (Petra) -King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) announced 7 community entrepreneurship projects won financial and technical assistance from Community Leadership Challenge Competition, in its fifth session for the year 2024, under the slogan: "Don't let your idea stay on paper."
According to a KAFD statement Thursday, its Director, Mazen Tablat, signed agreements to provide support to project owners, which serve a slew of sectors of local communities, primarily technology, tourism, education, marketing, and digital media content creation.
The statement added that the projects will receive financial support not exceeding JD5,000 for individuals and youth groups, and assistance ranging JD10,000-JD15,000 for civil society institutions, aimed to bring about sustainable and innovative development.
The KAFD said neutral and ad hoc technical committee selected the winning projects after assessing the submitted applications.
Then, the owners received a specialized training program to improve their technical skills to develop their enterprises.
Launched in 2019, Community Leadership Challenge Competition provided support for 30 projects, and created 1,768 direct and indirect job opportunities as of its last session.
