Damaged Kindergarten In Odesa To Be Rebuilt Under Project Funded By Japan


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Yokohama Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka and UNDP Tokyo Representative Office Director Hideko Hadzialic signed an agreement on cooperation in the reconstruction of social infrastructure in Ukraine, including a kindergarten in Odesa that was damaged by a Russian missile strike.

The Odesa City Council announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"UNDP, through a project funded by Japan, will support the reconstruction of three kindergarten buildings. After that, the parties will unite efforts to provide these buildings with all the necessary equipment and educational materials for children," the statement said.



As Ukrinform reported earlier, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and Yokohama Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka signed a Memorandum of Understanding on technical cooperation. The Japanese side will provide technical support and assistance in the restoration and development of Odesa's critical infrastructure.
