Doha, Qatar: The Education Services Centre at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has issued instructions to streamline the operation of education and training centres operating across the country.

The ministry has asked all education and training services centres not to deal with any entity outside the country and not to offer any courses, events or conferences outside the centre's headquarters, without obtaining the approval from Education Services Center.

The centre run by the MoEHE's Private Education Affairs Sector is only authorised agency to licence and monitors the education and training centres.

“The new instructions aim at ensuring the quality of practices and control the training process, in a way that benefits all beneficiaries of training in all sectors and state institutions,” said Director of the Education Services Centres Department Iman Ali Al Nuaimi in a statement.

She stressed that with quality control and monitoring education centers can provide high-quality education that meets the needs of all members of society.

Al Nuaimi said Law No. 18 of 2015 regulates education services and Article No.12 stipulates,“The licensee may not deal with colleges, universities or any other educational body abroad, except after obtaining a licence to do so from the authorised entity.

The licence must include the type of service provided by those entities”.

She added Ministerial Decision No. 10 of 2017 regulates educational services and Article No.18 stipulates:“Not to organise any courses outside the centre's headquarters except after obtaining the approval of authority concerned.”

Al Nuaimi said that continuing regular education helps in learning everything new in the labour market and the skills required in the future. Education centers are private centres operating across the country. They offer many education programmes and various training courses, and the most important disciplines are administrative training, teaching foreign languages, remedial lessons, educational training and teaching computer. Besides there are centers for people with special needs, visual arts, among others.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education sets the conditions and standards in accordance with the laws and ministerial resolutions regulating the work of education and training centres to obtain licences to ensure the quality of the services they provide.

The ministry also supports the investor in the private education sector from the beginning step by step, by providing various types of support, guidance and communication, in addition to explaining all requirements, and providing necessary consultations and official communications with the concerned authorities, so that the investor provides educational services with the quality.
