(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. The second day of theEuropean Cup competitions in rhythmic gymnastics has started at theNational Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Trend reports.
The program of the second day of the European Cup was opened byqualification competitions among teams in group exercises. Teamspresent two exercises: a program with five hoops and a compositionwith three ribbons and two balls. According to the results of thesecompetitions, the winners and medalists in the all-around category,as well as the finalists in individual subjects, will bedetermined.
Next will be the individual all-around finals among the seniors final will be held under the new rules in the format ofcross-battles. It should be remembered that Azerbaijani gracesZohra Aghamirova and Kamilla Seyidzadeh will perform in the finalof the all-around competition.
Afterward, junior women will take to the competition carpet competitions among juniors will be held on four kindsof exercises: hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon. Upon completion ofqualification, the finalists and medalists in the team competitionwill be determined.
The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku is hosting the EuropeanCup in Rhythmic Gymnastics from May 3 through May 5. Athletes from37 countries are participating in the event, showcasing theirtalents across two age categories: seniors, which includesindividual and group routines, and juniors, focusing on individualperformances.
In the seniors category, Azerbaijan is represented by ZohraAghamirova and Kamilla Seyidzade in individual events, along with ateam comprising Gullu Aghalarzade, Kamilla Aliyeva, YelizavetaLuzan, Darya Sorokina, Laman Alimuradova, and Zeynab Hummatova ingroup performances. Additionally, Fidan Gurbanli, Ilaha Bahadirova,Govhar Ibrahimova, and Shams Aghahuseynova are among the juniorcategory athletes competing in individual programs.
