Kyrgyzstan To Issue Green License Plates For Electric Cars


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 25. Electric cars inKyrgyzstan will be issued green license plates, Trend reports.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president,President Sadyr Zhaparov has signed a law amending the laws "OnEnvironmental Protection" and "On Road Traffic" in Kyrgyzstan. Thelaw was adopted by the Kyrgyz parliament on March 14.

Last year, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers ofKyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, during a working trip to the XinjiangUyghur autonomous region (XUAR) of China, met with the leadershipof BYD Co. Ltd., a producer of electric vehicles.

Japarov noted that the government is ready to adopt a stateincentive program for the introduction and further operation ofelectric vehicles and create favorable conditions for theinstallation of charging stations throughout the country.
