US Welcomes Efforts Of Azerbaijan And Armenia To Delimitate Borders


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. We welcome theannouncement that Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed upon the 1991Alma Ata declaration as the basis for border delimitation betweenthe two countries, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrote onhis page on X, Trend reports.

"This is an important step towards concluding a durable anddignified peace agreement,” he added.

On April 19, 2024, the eighth meeting of the State Commission onthe Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic ofAzerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on theDelimitation of the State Border and Border Security between theRepublic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. Themeeting was held on April 19, 2024, at the border between thecountries, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan ShahinMustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan. Themeeting reached an agreement on the return of four villages in theGazakh district to Azerbaijan.
