BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Azerbaijan andArmenia will deploy their border services simultaneously and inparallel on the agreed sections of the borderline, Trend reports.
The relevant agreement was reached during the eighth meeting ofthe State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Borderbetween the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia andthe Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border and BorderSecurity between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic ofAzerbaijan. The meeting was held on April 19, 2024, at the borderbetween the countries, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister ofAzerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of ArmeniaMher Grigoryan.
According to the information, it was agreed that the sides wouldapply to their Governments to take measures for the simultaneousand parallel deployment of their border services on the agreedsections of the borderline.
"The parties also agreed to complete the coordination of thedraft Regulation on joint activities of the State Commission on theDelimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijanand the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on the Delimitationof the State Border and Border Security between the Republic ofArmenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan by July 1, 2024. They willcommence the process of domestic coordination and approval of theRegulation following the respective states' legislationrequirements," the report says.
