Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan Discuss Construction Of Kambarata-1 HPP


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 2. Uzbekistan andKyrgyzstan discussed the practical aspects of the implementation ofthe projects on the construction of the Kambarata-1 HPPChina-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad, Trend reports.

The issue was reviewed at a meeting between the President ofUzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Chairman of the Cabinet ofMinisters and Head of the Presidential Administration of KyrgyzstanAkylbek Japarov, within the program of the Tashkent InvestmentForum.

Both parties also noted the implementation of the projects onthe construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad.

In addition, the sides discussed issues of further deepeningUzbek-Kyrgyz relations through comprehensive strategicpartnerships, expanding cooperation in trade, industry, energy,transportation, and logistics, as well as intensifyinginterregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The officials talked about the issues of forming a new agenda ofmultidimensional partnership in preparation for the upcoming summitmeetings.

Meanwhile, trade turnover volume between Uzbekistan andKyrgyzstan amounted to $158.2 million from January through March2024.
