The representative noted that bringing the under-construction power plants into service will raise this capacity even further.

The Iranian Energy Ministry has set a goal of increasing the capacity of the the nation's renewable power facilities by 10,000 MW by the conclusion of its present administration (August 2025).

The Energy Ministry and several of the nation's commercial contractors inked agreements of understanding (MOU) in January 2022 to collaborate on the development of new renewable power facilities around the nation.

The chief of SATBA declared in early April that 110,000 solar power plants with an output of five kilowatts (KW) will be built for low-income people in the ongoing Iranian calendar year (which began on March 21).
