Doha, Qatar: Al Nassr superstar and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo welcomes all new players who are interested in moving to Saudi.

In a recent interview published on the Saudi Pro League social media channels, when queried about his advice to any players moving to Saudi, Ronaldo said: "If they are coming, big players and big names, young players, 'old players', they are very welcome."

He added that if and when this happens, the league will further improve.

Ronaldo – who joined the club in January 2023 - shared his thoughts about the year gone by, his challenges, and his best moments in Saudi Arabia.

The player further confirmed that he will continue in Al Nassr.

He said this as he shared his experience on the pitch and spoke about the Saudi League in general.

"The league is very good and I think we have many opportunities to still grow. We have very good teams, very good Arab players, but they need to improve a little bit more. Even the referees, the VAR system, should be a little quicker. I think there are other small things they need to improve,” Ronaldo noted.

“But I am happy here, I want to continue, and I will continue here. And in my opinion if they continue to do the work that they want to do here, for the next five years, I think the Saudi league can be a top-five league in the world.”

He further spoke about losing the title this season.

"My expectation was a little but different to be honest, I expected to win something this year. But not always things turn up as we want,” he said.

“We improved a lot in the last five six months. It takes time sometimes but if you believe and you think it is your goal, then everything is possible," continued Ronaldo, adding that he was confident that things will change for better in the future.

Sharing his experience of living in Saudi, he said that "living in Saudi is very good, if you want to come here, to have fun, to see the culture, to eat good food."

The Saudi capital Riyadh, he believes, has some of the best-quality restaurants he has come across.

Ronaldo further spoke about his best experiences in the city which he said was when he visited the Boulevard World, where he enjoyed a lot with his whole family.

“I like to see different things, try different things and this is why I am here as well. The next trip that I want to see is AlUla," said Ronaldo, adding“I want to go as I know it's very beautiful and we travel around the country, you see many good places.”

In a final message to his fans around the world, Ronaldo added:“Thank you very much for supporting me every day here, not only in the games or in the stadium, but of course, outside in the streets and the places that I go.”

“I will be part of your world, your culture, I will be here, I hope I make the people enjoy through my games, my performance, and to win things, but again, thank you for welcoming me, and I will try to give my best during the time that I will be here.”
