SINGAPORE
- Milk & Honey PR has opened its fourth international office and has appointed Meilin Wong as a partner and CEO of its new Singapore operation.
With the move, the 50-strong agency – which is headquartered in London and opened in new york in 2021 and munich in 2022 – becomes the first B Corp accredited PR agency in Singapore.
Wong (pictured, left) brings more than two decades of communications, marketing and business development in agency and in-house leadership roles, including working with Milk & Honey founder and group CEO Kirsty Leighton at WE Communications and at brand experience agency SGK and as head of the corporate practice at Lewis. She was most recently CEO of
iSabel, a digital wellbeing startup with clients and users across Asia, and remains as its partner.
Reporting to Leighton (pictured, right), Wong joins as a co-owner in the business and will be responsible for building Milk & Honey's brand in the Asia Pacific region and spearheading client growth.
Leighton told PRovoke Media:“It was always our intention to have a global footprint and APAC is the missing opportunity for us to go after more international briefs. It's all about finding the right leader in each region and I've been after Meilin for a while – we worked together at WE years back and had a wonderful relationship when I was global head of client development and recruited her to do client development and marketing in APAC.
“She has absolutely oodles of energy, brilliant expertise and smart thinking – she's already a celebrated women in business in Singapore and the wider region, and really understands the commercials and how to build a business. It's also exciting to bring in another female CEO.”
Wong told PRovoke Media:“I grew up in PR agencies and I wasn't really keen to get back into the agency world, so I was very selective about what kind of company I wanted to be involved in. Milk & Honey stands for a number of things that are very close to my heart, including social impact and wellbeing within workplaces. It was also an exciting opportunity to work with people I know are truly passionate and smart and have the energy to drive the business forward and make a difference.”
Of her target client base, Wong added:“I want to bring in clients that reflect the values we hold in terms of people, our purpose and our contribution to the planet. Singapore is a regional headquarters for a lot of start-ups and SMEs going through series funding and reaching unicorn level, who require their brand to be nurtured, so I really want to help them tell their stories to stakeholders and grow from Singapore into new markets.”
Milk & Honey recently added new international leadership roles after winning a raft of new clients, including global wellness brand chenot .
