China welcomes Japanese Ambassador to reply to charges

(MENAFN) On Sunday the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong called on the Japanese Ambassador Hideo Tarumi for a meeting as a reply to vast range of allegations directed at Beijing at the G7 conference in Hiroshima.

Sun stated, as mentioned by CGTN, Japan, who presently has a grip on the revolving leadership of the Group of Seven, has taken the Western countries` side in “smearing and attacking” China, and interfering in its local matters.

“The Chinese side is strongly dissatisfied, and resolutely opposes it,” the diplomat stated, as he is trying to influence G7 associates to “stop creating and stoking bloc confrontation.”
In a mutual dispatch released on Saturday, the G7 charged China of “economic coercion,” human rights misuses, and increasing conflicts in the Taiwan Strait.

On Sunday, the Japanese Embassy in China published a declaration, stating that Tarumi informed Sun that the fears caused by the G7 were “justified” and will be pointed out once more “if China does not change its behavior.”
