Qatar Strongly Condemns Storming Of The Saudi Cultural Attaché In Sudan By An Armed Group

Doha: The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the storming of the Saudi Cultural Attaché building in the Republic of Sudan on Tuesday by an armed group, the foreign Ministry announced today, May 3.

According to the Ministry, the armed group vandalized equipment and cameras, seized some of the attaché's property, and disrupted the attaché's systems and servers.

The State of Qatar stresses the need to provide protection for diplomatic missions, and prosecute the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the position of the State of Qatar, calling for an immediate halt to the fighting in Sudan, the exercise of maximum restraint, resorting to the voice of reason, giving priority to the public interest, and sparing civilians the consequences of fighting.
