The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that online registration for new students in government schools for the academic year 2023-2024 will begin from April 12 and last until September 9, 2023.
Director of the Schools and Students Affairs Department Ali Jassim Al Kuwari in a statement said that this is within the framework of the Ministry's preparations for plans to register and accommodate students for the upcoming academic year.
He said that online transfer system for students between government schools operating in Doha and outside will be also opened during the above mentioned date.
For his part, Head of the Student Admission and Registration Section Omar Muhammad Al Fadaq explained that the Ministry has announced in its circular issued on April 9, 2023 the procedures that schools must take, the papers and documents required for registration and its conditions, including the age of admission to register students and their nationalities, and its timetable according to above mentioned categories.
The Department of Schools and Students Affairs has classified the categories of students and distributed them to the registration periods according to the public interest and what is required to organise and arrange the registration of students electronically.
Early registration of siblings (through the public services portal/ additional services for registration and transfer) for Qatari students, children of Qatari women and children of GCC citizens will be from April 12 to August 13, 2023.
Registering siblings at the beginning of the school year (via the Public Services Portal /Additional Services for Registration and Transfer) for Qatari students, children of Qatari women and children of GCC citizens will be from August 20 to September 9, 2023.
Early electronic registration for Qatari students, children of Qatari women and children of GCC citizens will be from April 16 to August 13, 2023.
Early electronic registration for students of all nationalities will be from May 21 to August 13, 2023. Electronic registration at the beginning of the academic year for students of all nationalities will begin on August 20 until September 9, 2023. Transferring students between public schools for all educational levels will take place according to the geographical scope of the school and vacancies available.
Early transfer of siblings for Qatari students, children of Qatari women and children of GCC citizens will be from April 12 to June 15, 2023.
Transfer of siblings at the beginning of academic year for Qatari students, children of Qatari women and children of GCC citizens will be from August 20 to September 9, 2023.
Early electronic transfer of for Qatari students, children of Qatari women and children of GCC citizens will be from May 7 to June 15, 2023.
Early electronic transfer for all students of all nationalities will be from May 7 to June 15, 2023. Electronic transfer at the beginning of academic year for students of all nationalities will be from August 20 to September 9, 2023. Registration of students in specialised and technical schools will be according to the registration policy approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
