Ziad Al-Maayouf, the professional Saudi boxer, enters the ring today in one of the preliminaries for the battle between Anthony Joshua and Jermaine Franklin, a former heavyweight world champion, at London's O2 Arena.
As a result of his outstanding performance at the most recent Rage on the Red Sea event hosted in Jeddah, Al-Maayouf is scheduled to compete against the Bulgarian Georgi Velichkov. In that contest, which was one of ten fights in the illustrious boxing tournament, Al-Maayouf defeated his Mexican opponent José Alatorre by knockout, securing his place as the champion of the sixth round.
A significant opportunity exists for a Saudi boxer in the upcoming match starring Al-Maayouf. He'll be the first boxer from the Arab region to fight professionally at London's famed O2 Arena. Al-Maayouf earlier took part in the Truth showdown, when he prevailed over Ronald Martinez by a unanimous vote.
