Iran, Belarus sign MOU to cooperate in Halal industries


(MENAFN) Iran and Belarus have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to boost cooperation in the Halal industries sector. The agreement was signed between Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Belarus' Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization, Valentin Tataritsky Boleslavovich on Monday. The MOU, comprising 10 articles, outlines the major areas of cooperation between the two countries in the Halal industries sector. The move is expected to strengthen the economic ties between Iran and Belarus, while also facilitating the growth of Halal industries in both countries.

In addition to the MOU, the two countries also signed a comprehensive cooperation roadmap and seven other memorandums of understanding covering various fields such as commercial, transportation, agricultural, and cultural areas. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made a visit to Tehran to sign the documents.

The cooperation roadmap and MOUs are expected to further strengthen the relationship between Iran and Belarus in various fields. Speaking at a joint press conference with his Belarusian counterpart, President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized the importance of developing good agreements in the fields of industry, mining, trade, agriculture, roads, and various other areas, which will help promote the development of the two countries. Raisi also highlighted the shared commitment of Iran and Belarus to develop relations in all fields, and the need for independent countries to have good relations with each other in order to neutralize sanctions and combat unilateralism.
