Amman, Mar. 15 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Water and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) organized a training course on environment and health on Wednesday, with the participation of 56 employees from various entities in the water sector.
During the opening ceremony, Water Minister Mohammad Najjar said the course is part of the ministry's strategy to build capacities, improve services, and achieve sustainable development.
Director of the Water and Environment Office at USAID Andrew McKim stressed that compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations is not only a legal requirement but also a moral duty.
The USAID Water Engineering Services Activity, funded by the Jordanian-US Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership, provided the required technical support to the course.
