Digital Transformation Jordan conference to tackle e-government projects and boost IT talent
(MENAFN) Jordan’s third annual Digital Transformation Jordan conference will bring together senior government officials, international technology consultants, industry leaders, and other experts to Amman next week. The event, which is organized with the endorsement of Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aims to modernize IT projects across government agencies and improve the delivery of government services by keeping up with digital transformation innovations. Ahmad Al-Hanandeh, Jordan’s minister of digital economy and entrepreneurship, says that the country hopes to strengthen its digital transformation by encouraging more local IT talent to be involved in the process. The conference will feature over 30 speakers from more than 10 countries who will participate in presentations and panel discussions on various topics related to digital transformation, such as powering the digital economy with data-first modernization, the rise of logical data fabric for driving innovation through data, and Jordan’s national cybersecurity framework.
Belal Hafnawi, commissioner and member of the board of Jordan’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, praised Jordan for paving the way toward massive digital transformations, which will be reflected in the growth of the digital economy across different verticals. Some of the topics that will be covered in the conference are digital transformation in the energy sector through smart systems deployment and what the metaverse means for the government and public sector. The two-day event will begin on March 6, and the ministry is eager to address e-government projects across government agencies to improve the efficiency of government performance.
