TEDPIX closes Sunday’s session 17,059 points lower


(MENAFN) TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), saw a decrease of 17,059 points to 1.54 million on Sunday.

In line with what was stated in the reports, more than 9.551 billion securities valued at 57.164 trillion rials (around USD143 million) were exchanged at the TSE.

TEDPIX declined 75,515 points to reach 1.611 million in the last Iranian calendar week (closed on Friday).

The most significant of the four Iranian stock exchanges is TSE. Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), and Iran's over-the-counter (OTC) market, known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB)., are the other three.

Iranian government has collected 150 trillion rials (around USD375 million) to the nation’s Capital Market Stabilization and Development Fund (CMSDF) in the budget bill for the upcoming Iranian calendar year 1402 (starts on March 21) to back small shareholders, as reported by Tasnim news agency on January 1.
