Qatar To Take Part In Tunisia International Athletics Forum For People With Special Needs


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar will compete in the 17th edition of the Tunisia International Athletics Forum for People with Special from Feb. 6-8, with the participation of nearly 300 athletes from 30 countries.
The Qatari delegation is chaired by Board Member of the Qatar Federation for People with Special Needs Mohammed Dahim Al Dosari.
Al Dosari said, in a statement that the forum guarantees a qualification berth for the World Championships scheduled in France next summer, adding that the forum will bring together the world's best athletes.
He highlighted the necessity of preparing Qatari athletes by holding camps and competing against world-class athletes to claim medals.
In his statement, Al Dosari extended thanks to HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, and HE President of the Qatar Paralympic Committee Sheik Abdulrahman bin Saoud Al-Thani, for the support and growing interest in the sport of people with special needs, to elevate the name of Qatar in international forums.
