(MENAFN- NewsIn.Asia) Feb 2 (NewsWire) – University of Colombo has announced that it has once again retained its position as the top university in Sri Lanka in the first edition of the 2023 Webometrics Ranking.
This is the 20th Anniversary Edition (2004-2023) of the Webometrics Ranking, which evaluates the impact of a university's web content, citations in top Google Scholar profiles, and top-cited papers during the five-year period from 2017 to 2021 in Scimago.
“The University of Colombo's commitment to excellence in research and teaching is reflected in its continued success in the Webometrics ranking and this year university outperformed its previous world ranking position from 1531 to 1468.” UOC said in a statement.
