Sexual abuse of hundreds of kids by Chicago teachers

(MENAFN) According to an inspector general's investigation, Chicago Public Schools (CPS), the third-largest school district in the United States, has confirmed accusations that hundreds of teachers and officials groomed and sexually abused their kids.

Based on the district's Office of Inspector General (OIG), more than 600 sexual misconduct accusations were looked into during the 2021–2022 academic year, and charges were judged to be true in nearly half of those cases. In an effort to expedite the processing of a "extraordinarily high case volume," the office increased the amount of complaints it looked into from a year earlier. From the prior year, there were 38 percent more newly opened cases.

In line with the study, one instance included a high school instructor who "engaged in a systematic pattern of grooming behaviors with female students." He had close-knit relationships with pupils and openly encouraged sex behaviors, such as when he asked a female to find a classmate for a threesome.
