Chief of TPO to take needed actions to ease operation of largest saffron exchange agreement


(MENAFN) Chief of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) has stated that the administration will take all the needed actions to ease the operation of the world’s largest saffron exchange agreement inked among Iran and Qatar.

Alireza Peyman-Pak mentioned that the deal has been inked among one of the most famous Iranian brands with a prominent Qatari entrepreneur, the TPO portal mentioned in a report.

In line with the official, as the world’s largest deal for saffron exchange, the agreement was inked in the attendance of Iran’s Envoy in Doha Hamidreza Dehqani-Poudeh, as well as Qatar’s Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari on the 18th of September.

As per the agreement, 200 tons of saffron valued at USD300 million is going to be shipped to Qatar to be handled and then shipped to worldwide markets.

The TPO chief mentioned the initial Iranian saffron consignment valued at USD15 million is prepared to be exported to the Arab borders under the deal of the stated contract.
