AMMAN — Representatives of several Swedish companies in fields of fintech, technology, transportation, sustainable transportation, life sciences, among others, will hold a business meeting with Jordanian counterparts in the Kingdom this month to explore increased cooperation, according to Cherif El Sayed, vice president and head of strategy and operations, at Business Sweden.

“There are various areas for increased cooperation with Jordan and we are looking forward to discussing and tapping the potential,” he told a Jordanian media delegation recently, according to a statement from Business Sweden.

An agreement is underway and is expected to be signed this month to explore cooperation in the field of sustainable public transport in Jordan, he said, adding that Jordan has the potential and the required human resources in this area.

Cooperation in the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project will also be explored, he added.

“The meetings will open channels of communication and networking,” according to Sayed.

He added that a Jordanian-Swedish Business Network is expected to be launched during the meetings, indicating that future of economic exchanges and potential areas will also be discussed
