It will be mandatory to wear masks inside mosques from Thursday, the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has said.
In a statement on social media, Awqaf said this is based on Wednesday's Cabinet decision making the wearing of masks mandatory in closed public places, and in the framework of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the country to limit the spread of Covid-19.
'We ask God Almighty to protect our dear homeland from all evil and to lift this epidemic and remove this cloud from it and all of humanity,” the statement added.
