Arab Parliament For Child Organises Dialogue Session

SHARJAH, 2nd July, 2022 (WAM) -- The Arab Parliament for the Child, one of the institutions affiliated with the League of Arab States, organised a dialogue session titled 'Inspirational experiences presented by elite parliamentarians' at the headquarters of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC).

The session, held on the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentary Action, in cooperation with the Arab Parliament for the Child, SCC, and the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for the Industry of Leaders and Innovators, was attended by Ali Mihad Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the SCC; Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the SCC; Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Parliament Al Arabi for the Child; Moza Muhammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Sharjah Youth Foundation, from the Rubu' Qarn Foundation.

A group of members of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, represented by Sharjah children and Sharjah youth, also participated in the dialogue session.

Speaking at the session were Shatha Alai Al Naqbi, Member of the Federal National Council; Fatima Ali Al Muhairi, Member of the SCC, Chairperson of the Family Affairs Committee; Rashid Saif Al Tunaiji, former Chairman of the Sharjah Children's Shura Council, Member of the Sharjah Youth Shura Council; Muzna Al Ameri, Member of the Arab Parliament for the Child, Member of the UAE Parliament for the Child.

The session was moderated by Abdullah Badr Al Ali, a member of the UAE Parliament for the Child.

In his opening speech, Ayman Othman Al Barout stated that the session came in line with the International Day of Parliamentary Action to highlights the various national efforts that enhance children's march towards exercising their parliamentary role, in light of the keenness of the Arab League and Arab countries to enable them to exercise their parliamentary role in serving their country and society.

He underscored the importance of providing children with the integrated practice of working in Parliament and qualifying them to be future leaders in their countries, referring to the generous support provided by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to the Arab Parliament for the Child.

The guests of the dialogue session reviewed a number of themes that converged in a statement of the parliamentary achievements in the UAE, in light of the unlimited support of the wise leadership in enabling citizens, adults and children, to exercise their role in the decision-making process and in parliamentary work.
