Cavusoglu: Turkiye Against 'Illegal' Buying, Selling Of Ukrainian Grain

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, June 23 (KUNA) - Turkiye is against the illegal buying and selling of Ukrainian grain by any country, including but not limited to Russia and to be sold to other countries, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu Thursday.
During a press conference between Cavusoglu and his British counterpart Liz Truss, the Turkish minister noted that a 'control center' is to be established for the grain corridor if Russian and Ukrainian sides reach an agreement in a meeting to be held in Istanbul soon.
'If an agreement is signed in Istanbul, then there would be a control center to be established as a safe zone out of the Ukrainian territorial waters of will be established,' he added.
Many countries suffer from a grain crisis because of the inability of cargo ships to leave Ukrainian ports due to the war between Moscow and Kiev since last February. (end)
