Magnitude 5 Earthquake Hits Al-Ahmadi Governorate In Kuwait

Kuwait City: An earthquake measuring five on the Richter Scale hit southwest of al-Ahmadi Governorate South of the capital Kuwait City, this morning. The earthquake did not cause any losses.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information tweeted on its official website that the Kuwait National Seismic Network: part of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research recorded that the earthquake occurred at 28 minutes past four in the morning, and it struck five kilometers below the ground.

Major Redha al-Salman in the Kuwait Fire Force stated that no damage or loss of life was caused by the earthquake.

Kuwait recorded another earthquake at the end of 2020 measuring 4.4 on the Richter Scale, in the area of al-Manaqish, southwest of the country. (QNA)
