Kharkiv Sets Fifth Temperature Record In January


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On January 30, Kharkiv observed a temperature of +6.6°C, marking the fifth temperature record for the month.

The Kharkiv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“On January 30, Kharkiv set a new maximum temperature record for that day, reaching +6.6°C. The previous maximum temperature record of +5.4°C was set in 2020,” the report says.

As reported, on January 8, a new daily temperature record was set in Kharkiv at +8.9°C, surpassing the previous maximum of +6.0°C recorded in 2001. On January 10, a second temperature record was set, reaching 9.4°C (compared to 8.2°C in 2001).

On January 26, the temperature reached a record high of +6.2°C, significantly above the previous maximum of +4.5°C recorded in 2020. On January 28, the thermometer showed +5.3°C, surpassing the previous record of +4.7°C set in 2021.
