On Saturday, May 14, the United States Fight League (USFL) held their National Championships at Dan Henderson's Athletic Training Center in Temecula, California.

This was the first set of championships held by the federation since officially becoming the amateur MMA federation for the United States affiliated with IMMAF. An opening ceremony kickstarted the competition once weigh-ins and check-ins were final, and the competition began at noon.

The USFL, led by Jon Frank, previously sent youth teams to represent the United States at the 2019 and 2021 Youth World Championships. At the 2021 Youth World Championships, the United States team finished third on the medal table with six gold medals, three silver and eight bronze. Their National Championships served as qualifiers for the national team that will compete at this year's IMMAF Youth World Championships.

A competition for age groups 8-9yrs and 10-11yrs took place, however, they were not qualifying categories. Youth A, B and C were the only qualifying categories for the national team at the competition.

Two sessions took place throughout the day to allow for the number of bouts. 199 bouts took place overall, and of the 66 gyms that entered, House of Moons topped the rankings. They ended the competition with two gold medals, seven silver and five bronze.

Many of the medal-winning athletes from the last set of Youth World Championships competed on the day and added some national medals to their collection. The full results and list of medalists can be found here .

Some of the action from the active cages on the day was live-streamed on their Facebook page and is available to be watched back here .
