'Month of Giving' campaign by Ministry of Municipality

The Department of Mechanical Equipment at the Ministry of Municipality, in co-operation with the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), has launched the second edition of the 'Month of Giving' campaign. The initiative aims to distribute food items and vouchers during the holy month to workers with limited income. Engineer Marzouq Sultan al-Kuwari, a representative of the Mechanical Equipment Department, lauded the officials for their support to charitable efforts.“We must adhere to the values and customs of our Qatari society and our true religion in this holy month,' he said. A total of 250 food kits and 100 food purchase vouchers were distributed under the aegis of QRCS for the benefit of a number of workers with limited income, the official added. Mona Fadel al-Sulaiti, executive director of the Volunteering and Local Development Sector at QRCS said that the organisation always extends a helping hand and support to vulnerable groups.
